This is the most generous and malleable of the vines. The end of autumn gives it all the natural mellowness we could dream of. The concentrations can be wonderful. The combination of the famous acidity of the vineyard and this type of vine creates wines that age well.
A concentrated wine with smoky, toasty and very slightly candied notes, and a powerful aroma in keeping with the terroir.
The whole is complex and the palate is enveloped by the attack, leaving a remarkable sensation of fruit.
Food & wine: This Pinot Gris is ideal with foie gras au torchon. Its aromas will come to the fore with duck, chicken in sauce or pork fillet in sauce.
